Halloween 2025

Portsmouth, NH, 31 October 2025

I was out, stalking Portsmouth on Halloween Night. My primary task was to Photograph the Monster Troupe who anchored the Halloween Parade. If you have not seen them before, they are a mainstay of the parade with music, dancers, puppets, floats and a whole lot of fun.

I also had the chance to reconnect with Joel Wixson a local musician who was busking downtown. Now, if you have lived under a rock like I have, then what you need to know is that buskers are street performers who perform for your entertainment and maybe the hope of a tip or two. Joel even has a CD available for $10.00. You can checkout his website and listen to his new album at: https://www.joelglennwixson.com/.

Of course the real stars of the show are everybody who came out. The costumes were spectacular and everyone really showed their appreciation for all of the performers who paraded through the city.

Portsmouth may he anchor city of the New Hampshire Seacoast but the crowds represented the entire seacoast region. With that in mind, I also had a chance to check out Dover, NH for the Witches Market. There were a lot of great local vendors and some really unique Halloween themed products on sale. And, that is in addition to some really great local dancers and performers who entertained the crowd.

Now that Halloween is over, we can set our sights on Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday season. While you wait, don't forget that Veteran's Day is 11 November. Take a minute to thank a Veteran for everything they have done to ensure our safety and security. Also, it is never wrong to thank our Police Officers, Fire Fighters, and other first responders who protect us everyday.

You can check out some of the photos from the event. And, of course, if you need a photographer for portraits or an event, please send me a message.

Enjoy.
